Crust/Topping
2 cups (500 mL) old-fashioned oats
2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
1 tsp (5 mL) cinnamon
3⁄4 cup (175 mL) unsalted butter, softened
1⁄2 tsp (2.5 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
⅓ cup (50mL) of Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener Spoonable Jar**
Filling
3 cups (750 mL) dates, chopped
3 Tbsp (45mL) of Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener Spoonable Jar***
1 (250mL) cup water
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
Directions

Preheat oven to 325° F
- 2.
Place oats, flour, cinnamon, butter, salt, vanilla and Truvia calorie-free sweetener in bowl and mix at low speed for 1 minute
- 3.
Scrape sides of bowl, mix on medium speed for 2 minutes
- 4.
Portion two-thirds of oat mixture into a greased 9” (23 cm) square pan; set aside remaining one-third of mixture for topping
- 5.
Press oat mixture into bottom of pan to form crust.
For filling
- 6.
Cook the dates, Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener and water in a medium saucepan on low heat for 10 minutes or until the dates begin to soften. Stir in vanilla. Spread over pressed oat mixture
- 7.
Crumble remaining oat mixture over the filling
- 8.
Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 35-40 minutes until golden brown
